Cosmetic Tattooing Ireland
Most people don’t want to look “done.” They don’t want strangers asking questions. They don’t want heavy blocks of colour sitting on their face. They want to look fresher. Balanced. Rested. Like themselves — just better.
That’s the difference.
Kevin approaches permanent makeup with one rule in mind: natural enhancement only. If someone can tell what you’ve had done, it’s too much. The goal isn’t transformation. It’s refinement.
Permanent makeup, also known as SPMU (semi-permanent makeup), uses cosmetic tattooing techniques to implant pigment into the skin. Brows, lips, eyeliner, scalp. Each area requires different depth, different technique, different pressure. This isn’t body tattooing. It’s face work. Precision matters.
Some clients come in knowing exactly what they want. Others don’t. And that’s normal. Kevin spends time mapping the face first. Bone structure. Eye spacing. Lip symmetry. Brow placement. There’s no rushing that part. A few millimetres change everything.
One thing that sets Kevin apart is experience. Fifteen years as a tattoo artist means steady hands and technical control. Add Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualifications and international certifications in microblading, powder brows, lip pigmentation, eyeliner, scalp pigmentation, anatomy, physiology and pathology — you’re not dealing with someone who did a weekend course.
Some clients prefer a gradual approach. Lighter first session. Build depth slowly. Get used to the change. That option is there. No pressure to go bold on day one.
Healing is part of the process. Pigment softens. Colour settles. What looks sharp on day one becomes natural within weeks. That’s expected. Kevin explains the stages clearly so there are no surprises halfway through.
Hygiene is strict. Equipment is sterile. Skin is assessed properly before any pigment goes near it. Face work demands respect.
Clients travel from across Ireland and the UK. Word spreads when results look effortless. That’s usually the sign something was done well.
Permanent makeup should never overpower your features. It should frame them. Subtle lift to the eyes. Soft definition to the lips. Structure to brows that may have thinned over time.
If you’re considering SPMU and want it done in a way that doesn’t scream “tattoo,” this is that approach.
